FoxConnect vs Intercom
Intercom is a big player and one of the pioneers in the field of website live chat and support. It is used by a lot of big corporations and provides a nice platform but also has its disadvantages. Intercom provides no way to communicate externally with your customers except via website chat. There is no option to talk to people on LINE, Messenger or other chat platforms that are so popular today. There are 3rd party options to pay for additionally but this comes with a lot of extra work to implement the 2 and also additional cost.
FoxConnect provides multiple times the functionality of an Intercom
External Chat (LINE, Facebook, Instagram)
Internal team communication
Project Management & Tasks
Ticket Desk
FoxConnect can replace a whole range of tools. It is a full featured unified inbox and allows you to receive messages from your customers via networks such as LINE, Facebook Messenger and Instagram. It can also replace a team communication platform such as Slack with FoxConnect’s full team chat. There are also project management and tasks. On top of that, if your company provides customer service, FoxConnect has a full ticket desk that works together with all instant messenger services that the inbox supports (LINE, Facebook, Instagram).
Intercom is more expensive
Even thought FoxConnect provides more features, it costs less than Intercom.
The cost for Intercom are based on the amount of seats but also have an added fee for “reach” which is calculated by the amount of contacts that you exchange at least one chat message with in any month. This part can be different each month but typical you end up paying a couple hundred USD per month for a few agents. Intercom is good at what it does but also one of the most pricey solutions out there.
FoxConnect is more affordable while providing platform features that Intercom does not have.
The cost runs from 43 USD / user/ year up to 72 USD / user / year. So even on the biggest plan, you are still below the cost for Intercom.
